We have the flexibility to provide physical or digital drawings at your event. We can either scribe on foam board (which is completed at our studio space and digitised, so you get a digital copy as well as the finished artwork) or we scribe directly onto our laptop (either using a drawing pad or a tablet).
But which is best? The answer very much depends on what output you want from us. If your event is more of a celebration, you might want a physical (as well as digital) memento of the happenings on the day (retirement of long standing members of staff, or your wedding, for example). If your event is more of a conference, discussion or debate, especially one where you’d like the outcomes to be confidential, you may opt for a fully digital piece.
These are two pieces captured for ‘Mental Dental‘, a new theatrical production by Theatre in Flow (one physical, one digital):

Both have their own merits, but one is a digital output from the discussions about the show before it was performed and the other is a celebration of the show and the discussion with audience members afterwards. Can you guess which is which?*
The cost is also slightly different between physical and digital artworks. A fully digital piece is cheaper to produce than a physical one, as there are obviously less materials involved.
We still take the piece away to complete it, and in both cases, we’ll provide you with a fully digitised version of the artwork produced. We also offer a timelapse video of the process of drawing both physical and digital artworks – we just need to liaise with you before the event to work out where the camera will go with physical pieces.
Please get in touch – you can talk to us about any aspects of how we can capture the information into an artwork that is just right for you.
